Mental health support for showing up in our time of crisis, unraveling & collapse
Climate and collapse-aware, justice-informed and radically affirming psychotherapy, mentoring and facilitation for people (including activists, healers and changemakers) deeply engaged in and affected by our world in crisis.
Distress and despair are rational responses to the irrational circumstances we're facing
Aware that there is no way to self-care or CBT our way through collapse, I offer climate and collapse-aware approaches to psychotherapy, coaching and facilitating that welcome your entire Self, including all of the emotions, identities, experiences, relationships and systems that affect your life.
Rather than being a stoic blank screen, I believe that therapy is inherently political and view myself as a partner on your journey. I strive to bring candor, warmth, humor and a willingingness to accompany you in the discomfort, uncertainty and messiness that we're all feeling.

Mental health support tailored for changemakers
Discrete and secure
I will collaborate with you to ensure all of our work, documentation and communication meets your privacy, safety and security needs. Please reach out to discuss any concerns, particularly if you are interested in using your insurance.
Intersectional awareness and experience
I work with folks across intersectional movements, including Palestine, racial justice, climate justice, immigration, LGBTQ, labor and anti-fascist organizing. I strive to be as informed as possible so we can focus on your emotions rather than background info.
Non-pathologizing and healing-focused
While I am happy to discuss diagnoses if they are a helpful framework for you or are required by insurance, I tend to focus on addressing the root causes of what you're struggling with and developing an action-oriented path towards healing.
Gender affirming care
I provide gender affirming care for people who identify as trans, non-binary and/or gender fluid, including any support with medical affirmation processes.
Integrating climate and collapse psychological concepts
I integrate psychological concepts like cognitive dissonance and moral injury into our work as appropriate to provide frameworks for normalizing and exploring our emotional reactions.
Whole-person approach
While our work as changemakers, healers or activists can be core parts of our identities, we are also so much more. Our work will invite space for your whole self and whatever you would like to explore together.
My approach
We will co-create our work together so it is dynamic and evolving to best meet your self-identified needs and aspirations. I am committed to creating an inclusive environment for anyone who has felt marginalized in other mental health spaces, including for folks who identify as BIPOC, queer and/or disabled.
Evidence-based psychotherapy modalities
I'm certified in EMDR and draw on an eclectic mix of evidence-based therapy techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other somatic and mindfulness modalities.
Integration of diverse sources of wisdom
Including Buddhist psychology, engaged spirituality and leaders and elders in movement spaces, including Joanna Macy, Thich Nhat Hanh, Gabor Mate and other contemporary teachers and healers.
Person-in-environment framework
We can only understand our inner worlds in the context of our outer worlds, including how past experiences of trauma, resilience and our identities impact our responses to personal, interpersonal and collective challenges.
