Hi, I'm Parker Bowling, LCSW, MSSW

Psychotherapist, coach & facilitator

Feelings of deep distress about the climate crisis, ongoing genocides, systemic injustices and political upheaval are rational responses to the irrational circumstances we find ourselves in.

Aware that our mental health and the world that we're apart of are inextricably interconnected, I offer holistic approaches to psychotherapy and coaching that welcome your entire Self, including all of the identities, experiences, relationships and systems that affect your life. For employee and group offerings, please visit my employee programs page here.

Our work together

We will co-create our work together so it is dynamic and evolving to best meet your self-identified needs and aspirations. By cultivating a space where all of your lived experiences are welcomed and included, therapy and coaching can offer a fluidity that matches the nuances and ever-changing nature of life. Some sessions may be focused on existential doom about the state of the world, some may be focused on difficulties in your relationships and some may weave through a dozen of different topics and challenges. I take a client-centered and strengths-based approach that is guided by your own intuitive wisdom and needs rather than treatment plans and standardized protocols.

I enjoy working with people who are engaged in change-making of all sorts and am committed to creating an inclusive environment for anyone who has felt marginalized in other mental health spaces. I ensure a high level of confidentiality for all clients, including if you're working in politically sensitive capacities. Rather than being a stoic blank screen, I view myself as a partner on your journey and am open to sharing my own lived experiences in our sessions if we both feel it is relevant and appropriate.

Services

Individual psychotherapy, counseling & coaching

Sustainer rate
$130-150
(≈128€ or 110£)

Base rate
$100
(≈92€ or 79£)

Concession rate
$70
(≈64€ or 55£)

Difference between services: Psychotherapy tends to be longer-term clinical mental health support focused on understanding and healing long-held patterns and challenges. Counseling is also clinical mental health support but focused more on addressing specific challenges and tends to be briefer. Coaching is not clinical mental health support nor a replacement for it. Instead, coaching focuses on finding solutions and taking action towards greater well-being. Please feel free to reach out below to see which might be the best fit for your current needs.

Areas of service: I offer coaching to clients across the world, including throughout the US. I offer psychotherapy and counseling to clients located in countries that allow it, including the UK, most of the Global South and many countries in the EU. Please reach out to see if your country allows this. For US residents, I am only able to offer clinical psychotherapy and counseling to people residing in KY, VA, VT and FL at this time. I am in-network for Optum (United) in KY and VA and can provide a superbill for other insurance companies for out-of-network reimbursement  Both coaching and clinical services are offered via 50-min video sessions and generally between 9am-6pm Central European Time.

Pricing structure: Aware of the vast inequities in income and wealth distribution, I operate on a sliding-scale model that is transparent and redistributive. The base rate is the average rate needed to sustain my well-being, business costs and unpaid voluntary work. I invite people from higher-income countries with access to higher income and/or wealth to consider paying the sustainer rate in order to support people who have lower incomes and/or wealth to access the concession rates. If you feel able to contribute somewhere between the above rates (ie you can afford $85 but not $100), that is also welcome and supports more people to access more affordable rate for themselves. In addition, I reserve a few low-fee rates below $70; please inquire in the form below for availability. Please note that all services are charged in US dollars but can be converted to most currencies and paid via credit card, PayPal or in some cases bank transfer.

Free consultation: Please reach out on the form below or email me at parker@parkerbowling.com to ask any questions or to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we might be a good fit to work together. I'm always happy to discuss how we can make therapy, counseling or coaching accessible for you.

Online group therapy

Offerings: These groups will bring 5-8 people together every other week for a 50 minute session via secure video chat. My intention is to offer a space that allows for you to bring whatever is most alive for you and to co-create a process of collective healing amidst the group. We will focus on 'process' over 'content,' meaning that rather than discussing politics or philosophy, we will explore the emotions and somatic experiences that are present for us and how to navigate them.

Please fill out this interest form here or email me at parker@parkerbowling.com if you have any questions.

Location: These groups are open to people in the UK, many countries in the EU and any other countries that allow it. Please list your country on the form and I can reach out to determine if we can work together. For people in the US, I am currently only allowed to work with people who are residents of KY, VA, VT and FL at this time. If you're living in another state, please feel free to fill out the form and indicate that state. If there is enough interest, I can explore licensing options in different states.

Pricing: These groups operate on a pay-what-you-can model with a suggested base offering of $20 per group session. If you have a higher income, please consider paying between $20-40 and if you have a lower income, please feel free to pay between $5-20 per session. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Group facilitation, climate cafes and consulting

Offerings: I offer a range of facilitation and consulting services both online and in-person. I have experience facilitating workshops and retreats focused on trauma-sensitive mindfulness, deep ecology, The Work That Reconnects, climate cafes, climate grief, white awareness, self-compassion and group well-being. You can read more about my employee wellness programs here.

Location: I am open to offering in-person facilitation and consulting across the EU and UK that can be accessed via train. I offer remote facilitation and consulting across the world via whatever platform works best for your organization.

Pricing: I offer a flexible pricing model that takes into account the mission and financial situation of your organization; please feel free to reach out below or email me at parker@parkerbowling.com to ask any questions or to schedule a 30 minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit together and to discuss pricing.
